Ernest Logan is the President of the American Federation of School Administrators. From 2006 to 2017, he served as President of the Council of School Supervisors and Administrators. CSA represents more than 6,200 school and central office leaders including Principals, Assistant Principals, Education Administrators who work in the more than 1,200 New York City public schools as well as the Early Childhood Directors and Supervisors. He worked in the New York City public schools for more than 40 years as a teacher, principal, administrator and CSA member.
Born in Harlem and raised in East New York, the 11th of 13 children, Mr. Logan graduated from Franklin K. Lane High School and SUNY Cortland. He received his master’s degree in Education from Baruch College/CUNY.
